Any player with a FIDE ID and rating under 2200. We welcome both Singapore residents and international players.

 

February 25, 2026 or when 30 players register (whichever comes first). Late registration between Feb 25-28 requires SGD 100 admin fee and is at organizer’s discretion.

 

Winners provide their PayPal account details. Prize money is paid within 24 hours of tournament conclusion. No waiting, no ceremony.

 

Yes, all players with disabilities receive 25% off registration fees.

 

You should plan to attend all rounds. However, you can request up to 2 half-point byes for Rounds 1-3. Submit your request in writing to the Chief Arbiter before pairings are published.

 

If you withdraw before Feb 15, you’ll receive a refund minus SGD 50 admin fee. After Feb 15, no refunds (except for unrated players, who cannot get refunds under any circumstance).

 

Just bring yourself. We provide scoresheets. Bring water or beverages if needed. No electronic devices allowed during play. Dress code: no slippers.

 

If fewer than 10 players register by February 20, we reserve the right to cancel the tournament. You’ll receive a full refund.
